Default Do you starch your raggies?

Do you starch your raggie bows made from fabric?

How about ribbon ones?

Maybe that is part of my problem, I haven't been starching them and that is why they don't stand out. I am making them 2.5 inches long and have tried 4 and 6 inches long. Ugh.

Also, I'm trying to cover up the stitch on top of the bow too (I like sewing my bows usually) and I hate using hot glue.

Hot glue is just a chore and no matter how careful I am with these bows, I make a mess no matter how small of a mess.
