Default Ribbon Wrapped Headbands

What size of ribbon is best to use when wrapping headbands? I'm wanting to wrap 1" plastic headbands and attach a big boutique bow to the top... It's for a middle school girl. Also, she's wanting the headbands to be interchangeable, so she can switch out different bows with the headbands... How do you do that with ribbon wrapped headbands? Thanks so much!

You do a woven headband with 3/8" ribbon. Then you can clip the bow in the weaves.

I use 5/8 inch ribbon to wrap headbands. To make them interchangeable, you just cut a strip of the 5/8 (or 3/8 inch) ribbon a few inches long and attach it offsides (you know what I mean? where the bow will sit?) and glue it only on the back so the bow can slip through the loop. I'm attaching a pic of a 3/4 inch headband wrapped with 5/8 inch ribbon and it has a loop so the flower (made by HG mommy2-4!) can be attached.
