Default What size elastic to use in this headband

Hi,

This is a super cute headband. Do you think it is thinner than 1/8 inch for the elastic? It actually looks more like 1/16 of an inch. Also, do you think this is round elastic instead of flat elastic? Would round elastic be more uncomfortable on baby's head or just roll off? And, finally...does anybody know where to buy such skinny elastic? TIA everyone! Happy 4th of July!

it is round elastic not flat. I find these headbands tend to leave marks on the little one's head but they are cute.

Thanks, I was thinking that it probably would leave marks. Does this look like maybe 1/16th of an inch? Do you think the flat elastic would leave marks also?

I am not sure on the size. I have never paid attention to the size of the round elastic because I have only found it in one size. The flat elastic leaves marks as well. Most don't mind the marks but a few will. I always make sure when asked to tell them that they are not as soft on the head as a nylon band or the FOE.

I think you may be right about the bead cording...I just got back from Joann Fabrics and in the trim section I bought some 1mm gimp stretch cord. It is super super skinny, the skinniest I've seen. But, maybe gimp stretch cord is the same as beading cord. I'll have to go in the jewelry section next time.
