This is EXACTLY the way I do things, too!smile

Some of her close friends request particular items and can't wait to get their bows/ headbands/ headband holders. And they always put the item on RIGHT away when they open presents. I never put a card in, I'm wimpy about that, but they know who I am. If you think the little girl will like the gift then it's totally appropriate. If you can personalize it, even better. It'll seem like you put a little thought into it. My daughter's friends love their monogrammed bows!

I do all the time. I tend to give more bows and other items to my kids classmates that I know for sure have less then others. I feel that it makes them feel special.smile
