Default Honest opinion? Raggie Bow

I bought these instructions awhile back and the first one I made looked ok, and the rest sucked and i've been fighting with them and wasting fabric ever since. This one isn't fantastic but at least it looks more like a real puff. How does it look?

You did great! I would finish off with two things-- try to twist the black polka dot material around a bit so the front shows more. You can usually yank pretty hard and twist without anything coming loose. The second thing I would do is take your pinking sheers and give it a trim here and there to even it all up. Then shake it HARD. That will get rid of any trimmings that may have fallen inside and pouf it up some too.

Mine turn out best when I use lightweight material. I just hate cutting those strips! LOL

I tried my first one the other night and I decided that unless I sell them for $20 it's so not worth the time I spent cutting the stupid fabric and putting it together!

I do cheat a little...I buy quilt squares that are already pinked on the edges and that way I only have to make 1 cut per strip, since they come in 6, 5 and 4" sizes, I just cut the size square I want.

I think it turned out really cute!! I've been thinking of maybe trying one...but I don't have any pinking shears...I was thinking maybe I could just rip the fabric...for a kind of torn look......

Looks great!
Better than mine have looked, I have made 2 and they dont look right, they aren't puffy enough, you can see the core of it.
I need to keep trying I think.
