Default attaching interchangeable clips to headbands

Do you all just put your regular clips onto the interchangeable headbands (like FOE)? Lined alligator clip, with or without a no-slip grip? Or do you use a different kind of clip or something else? I just feel like if I put a regular clip on, I can pull it right off and I'm not sure if I want it to be more "sturdy" on the headband so babies don't just pull the clip with the bow right off. What do you ladies do and does it work? Thanks

I make a ribbon band around the headband and then attach whatever kind of clip

Yes I know about doing a ribbon band or a little band with FOE but when I slip an alligator clip in, I can pull it right out and I was wondering if there was something you all do so it's not so easy to pull the clip off of the headband. Is that not a concern when you put it on a baby? I really don't know, just wanted to see what you all do and if you have had any problems. I have someone asking me to make one for their baby and I just want to be careful
