Default Bow board question

So i know how to make bow board holders. But my question is a few weeks back i seen some one that had a string on the bottom that hung for headbands. But i cant find it any more. And have no idea how she pinned the string on to the board to make it stay and be able to hold enought weight for the headbands.
any idea what i am talking about??
Also for the bow boards how How many Diff kinds do you have varitiy i guess is they word i am looking for. I have 8 panels of grid wall on and top of every one i have a bowboard full of clippies so i was thinking of making 8 diff kinds and putting them behind the holders that have the clippies.
Would 8 diff kinds be enought of should i make more.
