what method do you use to make your twisted boutique
Thank you!!!
I cut the ribbon measure and mark the end, centre and mid points, hand fold and then gather the centre, sew and wrap. Not the quickest method but the one I've found that gives the best results - for me anyway!

The best way to get the loops full and upright for me is in the fold, don't fold flat but loop the ribbon around, I don't starch my bows they stand upright by themselves.
Hope that helps.

I take the first one, use a running stitch through the centre pull and wrap the thread around three times. Then take a pair and make a narrow x shape, running stich the centre, wrap and pull, finally do the sane to
the last pair in a wider x shape.

Try this site. Their instructions are free. They have TONS of tutorials. The loopy-surround-a-bow shows you how to do the thin loopy pieces. Some of the bows on there are ugly but you can perfect them. Enjoy

I use 7/8 21" for the bottom twisted boutique.
7/8 17" for the top twisted boutique bow.
3/8 18.5" for the loopies (first set)
3/8 19" for the loopies (2nd set)and 5 spikes cut 4.5" to make a 3.5" bow like the one below.

this is DANG close to what I do.

When I started making layered bows, I struggled because they would shift as I added layers. One tip is to sew through each layer one at a time, and then add a dab of glue before the next layer. It keeps everything nice and neat!
