Default Attaching bottle caps to clippies

So, I tried the wooden circles from Joann's and Michael's but they were both too thin. Any other suggestions or where I might find some that are thicker!!

Hi ladies! I love love love bottle caps attached to clippies, but I am not sure how to attach them. I am using the ones that are not flattened, so they don't really come into direct contact with the clip. How do all of you accomplish this?

TIA!
Jessica

I have been using buttons. Where can I find these wooden circles? Are they cheap?

The thing that I found works best is the felt pads that you put under your chairs to keep them from scratching the floor. One side is sticky on them however it's best to hot glue that sticky side to the cap as well. Otherwise, over time it will fall off if you don't glue it. You can get them at the dollar tree in the section that has silverware, spatula's and other kitchen stuff.

thank you for that idea! I have tried the wooden circles for other things and hot glue doesn't like to stick to them very well so I gave up.

Do you use a REALLY hot hot glue gun and HOT MELT glue stick? Is the liner from the bottle caps removed? Those two things make them stick for me

yes, high temp gun with high temp glue sticks and I was trying to get ribbon to stick to the wood - the wood was the bow center (not using bottlecaps)

I guess I should mention the bow center was not just a plain wood circle

it wasn't painted, but maybe it is the same idea...too smooth.

I'll try roughing it up a little bit

Thanks!
