Default glue on flower

when you take off the stem from the flower and put the petals back together, which glue do you usually use? I used E6000 but it leaves some glue mark at the top layer which can't be covered by the little embellish ment (I'm making some smaller flowers). Can someone give me some suggestions?

I usually stitch the flowers together and only glue on the center but I would say small amounts of hot glue would be the best, e6000 is not really great sticky on fabrics

I use my trusty glue gun and make sure it's super hot and just use a little dab.
