Default tutu bow holder help

alright, I'm determined to make these. I got some really cute fabric today. I also got foam core board? is that right?
Do I just hot glue the fabric on the edges or all over bodice?
I'm also still confused about the back. anyone have any pics they would like to share of the back? I don't know what piece goes down first or if I should just make a piece to fit just the back perfectly and put on last, then Hot glue? the ribbon holder on?

thanks, I'm excited about this. If nothing else, my girls will have them.

I usually first put down a light batting underneath the fabric and wrap about 1inch onto the back. Cut fabric about 2inches wider than your form. Cut at corners and about 1-2 inch apart to wrap to back of form and glue down on the back with hot glue. Go all the way around. Embellish, add tulle, etc. Add hanger ribbon. I cover back with coordinating felt cut to the exact shape of form to cover flaps, etc. I just glue down with hot glue. Hope this helps..

thank you.

One other thing. when you glue the tulle are you gathering it or laying it flat? double layer? I can't wait to try. I didn't get batting so my first one will be without. Breaking out the new glue gun.

I do double layer tulle, and I do a straight stitch along the top then pull the thread to gather the tulle.

I do the same basically, but I single layer the tulle, but bunch it up and then sew it onto a piece of 3/8 ribbon, then glue the ribbon in place, and cover that with a satin ribbon. I have only done a few but was surprised how well they went-especially customs!

Thanks I just didn't realize it included sewing. I may really have to practice.

Oh I don't sew anything fancy, you don't see it, so I go for security over pretty-it gets covered up, anyway!

The sewing is basic youcan do it by hand, its just to make sure the tulle is secure when you attach to your bodice.
