I bought a three pack of these crochet headbands (the stretchy ones) from Kohls and I wanted to try them on my 4 yr DD, attaching a clippie. She has long, thick, and curly hair. I can not get these things to stay in her hair longer than 5 minutes, sitting still!!!! I even tried 4 bobby pins around the base of her hairline pinned through the head band, and still sliding right off the back of her hair! Any suggestions?

I bought some skinny headbands that are no slip at walmart. I put that on my dd and then put the larger headband over it.

I think that I read in some threads that people have put a line of hot glue on the back and smoothed it down with their finger. Its worth a shot.

someone else used silcone to make a non-slip grip for crocheted slippers, I wonder if that would work fo r headbands?

Thanks for the ideas, I will give them a try. I think they are soo cute with the clippie attached. What are the best type of headbands to attach clippies to that will stay in place?
