Default OMG! So what's the secret to monogrammed buttons???????

I'm about to pull my hair out! I have an order for flip flops for a bridal party. I got my SIL to monogram some fabric for me. I cut out the letters and tried to do buttons. I've messed up so many, because the letter comes out all cattiwompus!!!!!! Then I can't get it back apart to fix it! What's the secret to getting it centered without the fabric slipping??

Have you tried adhesive? I like "permanent" stick glue, but people use different things.

That's what I use too...but just a tiny dab so it doesn't go through the fabric.

I have never used glue before but that sounds like a good idea. But I do turn the tool over and look through to see if my image is straight. You can tug on the fabric until it is centered the way you want it.

I too just look threw the tool to see if its straignt nad if not than u can pull on the edges to straighten it. Although I've been doing buttons for yrs so u might want to try the glue thing, that prob. would have been the easiest thing for me to do in the beging but I alwasy have to learn the hard way! LOL

How big on average do you cut your circle to fit in a #60 button. I always cut mine too small.
