Default classic hairbow...soft looking

Ok, I've been making bows for a while now. I can make the boutique bows, pinwheels, etc. But a customer showed me an example of what I consider a large classic hair bow...& I can't make it come out right... It keeps turning into a boutique bow or a pinwheel bow. Any suggestions or instructions that might help me? My head is starting to hurt from bangin against this brick wall. I'm gonna go pull up my old instructions and see if I can find a picture to share.

ANY thoughts welcome and appreciated.

I know what you mean. I've seen those larger classic bows and I like them but I have no idea how to make them. I've tried and it looks awful. I'd like to know too.

I'd love to see a pic. I make what I call the classic but it's about 3" only with 1 1/2" ribbon. I tried making it bigger but to me it looked flat and awkward.

My largest bow is about 7" wide but I don't know if that's what you're talking about or if you're talking about a tails down type bow.

I can't seem to find a picture, but it's not a tail's down. More of a flattened, looser boutique bow. Very traditional looking bow. I made one that sort of looks okay, maybe I can post a pic of that.

here's what I've got for now, just so you can get a better idea of what I'm talking about. Gonna try to post a link...http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=4547&id=100001053166119&saved#!/photo.php?pid=71129&id=100001053166119

The white one.....looks like boutique bow to me, but there are so many definitions of boutique bow. The others are twisteds. That is a style that eludes me but I would love to know how to make it!!

This is my 7", I'm not sure if that's the type of bow you mean though. Sometimes I make them with longer tails by request, but it's not any special fold so I'm not sure if this might be what you're talking about at all.
