I want to make everything myself . what kind of back would i need and how do i glue it on . what size button .

Those are actually fabric brads. They are Spare Parts by Paper Studio available at Hobby Lobby. They go on sale quite often for 50% off. You can get a pack of 12 for $2.50. I actually have those, but i'm not sure how that person attached them to the bobby pin, unless its the bobby pin with the round thing on it. hth

I attach mine to a bobby pin with a pad and I use E6000. HTH!

what size button do you use. I found buttons with flat backs on ebay there pretty cheap

The buttons come covered already (if you're looking for the ones in the pic). Otherwise, you can use any button size really. I might use a size 36 or smaller.

I just made these and I used the 3/4" buttons from Craftersvision.com. I like this size and the 7/8" size buttons... I'm not sure what numbers they are though (sorry!) They are so much fun to make and I love wearing them myself!
