Exclamation fleece quilt

help i want to make my daughter a fleece quilt i need to make a blanket out of fleece i want to make it four different colored blocks to represent the four colors of girl scouts i dont want to do the tie blankets where there are two pieces tied together because i want to sew her badges on is there any way to hand sew the blocks together and finish the edges by hand i have a sewing machine but i can never use it very well any info on size of the squares amount of fabric and stitch types to be used i want it to be comfortable for my daughter but also cute any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated here is a link to what i am talking about how long would you make the fringe that is used to tie the squares together and could i do it with a single layer of fleece since i want to be able to hand sew on the patches as she completes the levels or could i hand sew through two layers also i want to make it big enough for her to continue to use it what size would you make it in total size, what size each block and how much total fabric would i need of each color SellProduct DetailProduct Detail

Default Re: fleece quilt

I have only tied them never sewed my mom sew one and just sewed it wrond side outward then flipped and sewed the last edge.My both my dds love scouts till we moved and have yet to find time to find a troop.
I always sewed their patches on a jean jacket.
