How ever do you get the backing off? Worked on them for over an hour to only get the backs off 3! Help...thanks!

I actually struggled with this FOREVER and finally just gave up on that type of clippie. What did eventually work was taking an exacto knife and carefully scratching off the backing. Others have tried lots of ideas. Like I said, I finally gave up because it took so long
GOOD LUCK!! If you find something quick and easy, let me know!

I'm looking at my DD's clips that I got from No Slippy (before I started making my own) and it looks like they just left the iron on thing on the back as is. Is there a reason why we should be peeling off the iron on backing?

I have a bunch of iron appliques but I haven't really started working on them.

Why not just iron them onto a piece of coordinating fabric, then carefully cut it out of the fabric slightly smaller than the applique? Does that make sense out loud, or just in my head... lol

I figured out an easy way to get that backing off. After spending/wasting over an hour I just melted it off. Held the applique over the flame and it melted. Sooooo much easier and faster!

Now - what to price them at - I was thinking $4 or 2/$7. What do you think?

I don't know about them but when I tried to leave the backing on the appliques would pop right off the clip with a small tug.

Yup - that is why you have to take it off

I tried your idea of melting it off, it burned right through my applique. It never melted off just went straight through.

you have to hold it far enough from the flame where it melts but not burns. You will see it melting. It works you just have to find the right distance.
