My own twisted bows I personally like both baked and stiffened. But to sell them I only bake them just because I don't want to worry about a chemical or CPSIA testing etc.

1. Flip it over, that is technically the back.

2. Look at the top of the crease. Do you see how the right loop (right by the crease) is kind of slightly folded back? And the top of left loop (right by the crease) is not? That will make a difference in shaping. Neither is right or wrong, you just want symmetry to make the bow look finished.
I need clafication here. I'm boutique bow illiterate! So this picture of the bow OP is showing us is the back? So she needs to flop it over and use the other side as the front? Because if that is the case I'm doing it all wrong. I made a stacked bow and what OP is showing was my 1st bottom bow and I used that side she is showing in the pic as the front.

It's totally up to you Generally people use the parallel side as the back, but if you like the way your bows look then keep going!

Sometimes when I stack them though, I put the "backs" together. I will flip the base bow over, and then stack the other in the regular direction. Again, it's completely your choice.
