Default How do you line a snap clip?

I have used the small or mini snap clips before, but I am not sure if I did it right. (It was just for my dd - never for a customer) Now, I am going to make an interchangable stacked bow with little snap clipped flowers for centers. So, I want to know how you line the snap clip. Do you keep it closed or open? Any tips would be great. Thanks!

That sounds like a really cute idea! I actually just line them open-I think it pulls tighter that way when I do snap it shut and there are no wrinkles. I just started lining snap clips though, so there may be a better way.

Would you mind showing a picture of your interchangable stacked bow?
I am wanting to make one for my dd for her sculpture clips and have been attempting this for about a week. It seems the simpliest things seem difficult until you see a pic, then you hae a "oh DUH" moment. LOL.
TIA

I start with the clip open, but then snap it shut before lining the back side. I've found that if I don't snap it shut, it bounces back open and doesn't snap well.
