Default is this normal for tutu?

I am doing the knotted tutu's and i find that when putting it on my child, i have to re-shape it a bit... like the tulle rolls around a bit (I am using no roll elastic)... i dont know how to explain what it is doing... but its not like when you sew something and it always drapes itself a certain way, yak now?

Mine don't move around at all. Are you using the loop knot or the square knot (I use this)? I wonder if it isn't getting tied tight enough and/or with enough tulle squished on to the elastic? Are the knots shifting up or down or something? What are you having to adjust? Is it the placement of the knots or just the draping of the tulle?

I just googled "how to make a square knot" and got some really good directions. It's like the first part of tying your shoes, but twice. But you do left under first, then right under. Sounds odd. It makes things so much nicer, IMO. Google it and you'll get some really good step by step pictures.

ok i will google it...
but is my tutu supposed to do this? I purchased some no roll elastic.. Although the elastic does still roll in(is it supposed to?)whats the diff with normal elastic and no roll?
also,
when i try the tutu own my child or even for that matter on my own leg the tulle rotates a bit where some of it rolls over to the other end(opposite way).. is it supposed to do this? im thinking that if i sew it there is no way the tutu can do this

this is the elastic i bought

I buy the non-roll 3/4" from Joanns or walmart. It is by Stretchrite, Woven Non-Roll Polyester Elastic. Is yours woven or braided? I've bought the braided before and it isn't as sturdy as the woven, IMO.
