Default Starching korkers

I've made korkers in the past and starched them before and after I baked them with regular starch you get at the dollar store (didn't want to spend a lot in case I didn't like making them). I've heard all the rave about Sta Flo and bought some. My question is with the Sta Flo to you still starch before and after and can you put them in the oven still wet?
