Default Gluing/Attaching Ribbon to Ribbon

I am wanting to glue/attach 7/8" ribbon on top of 1 1/2" ribbon for a bow and was wondering how to do it... I tried fabric glue and glued the entire strip of 7/8 on top of the 1 1/2" and the ribbon became super stiff and hard and almost impossible to form into a bow... What am I doing wrong? Am I supposed to use hot glue? Thanks for the help in advance

Your best bet is to either just hold it and form the bow or do like the cheer bows and use Heat N Bond Lite to fuse the 2 together, you'll still have a stiff bow though.

I agree with holding the ribbons together or using the heat n bond. Another option if using dark colored ribbon is to use E6000. That also works well, however, I have noticed that the glue bleeds through when using light colors.

Def the heat and bond if you don't want it to move, I tried Aleens fabric glue and it bleed through. Yuck. :-(

Otherwise just try to hold the ribbons together as you form the bow.
