Default Which way...

Do you put your alligator clips on your bows and clippies? I usually attach them so the bow or clippie can be worn on the right side of the girl's face, when you're looking at her. I part my dds' hair on the right so its natural to me. And after several years of bow-making, I've only had one customer request the clip face the other direction, since she parts her dd's hair on the left. Now a boutique I sell at says I'm doing it backwards, so which way do YOU do it?

I didn't think there was a "right" or "wrong" way. I personally try to mix it up. If I make 4 of the same bows, 2 for the left and 2 for the right. I'm interested to see what the other more experienced bow makers say

I have a tendancy to put the head of the clip on the left with the opening on the right when you are looking down at the bow. []--BOW---
But, I have been changing it up the last few bows. For sets, I always make one go one way and one the other!!

I just had my girlfriend the other day notice how I do my clippies and things. She said you must be left handed, I was like why do you say that, she said all your clippeis are done done like that. I never even noticed it till i had put the Teddy Bear ribbon on the clippies. LOL I guess I will have to pay more attention. OOOPPPSS. I do mostly korkers and and bows where you wouldnt notice what side it needs to be on. LOL

Easy fix. Any bow or clippie that has a "direction", sell in pairs and make more money!

I usually ask what side they part their hair on, my daugthers hair goes to the right, so I make everything for the right, to hold her hair back on that side.
