Exclamation Applique Question - Help!

If you were going to attach an oversized non-stabilized (but blocked) applique to a lined alligator clip, how would you do it?? I was thinking of attatching to a piece of felt, but not sure...

I would say put it on either a piece of wool-blend felt - or somecraft felt - the kind that is really really stiff? KWIM?

Yes, I know exactly what you mean. I actually have a piece of that, but it is the wrong color I will have to make a visit to Michael's tomorrow.

Do you think I should sew it to the felt or e6000? I plan using e6000 to attatch it to the clip. I didn't imagine working with an oversized applique would be so complicated (although I know I am making it more complicated than it actually is!).

I would just use hot Fabric-Tac or Liquid Stitch to attach it to the felt - you will get a really good bond that way. Are you covering your clip with ribbon? I guess depending on how much of it is sitting on the clip - if it is an allie clip, flip it upside down and you will have more "surface" area - that is how I do my flowers - anyhoo - if it is just covered in ribbon or felt, I would just attach with hot glue and I think you would be fine. Would love to see a pic when you are done!
