I don't remember where I got the Bella ones from but I have gotten this "one piece" kind at lots of stores. The goody package I got at either Wal-mart or Target says: Ouchless, No metal, gentle ponytailers. They will stretch out some but won't/can't break - there is no seam, no glue.

And they aren't elastic really - more like a loop of stretchy knit. Kinda like back in the late 70's and we made potholders on little looms out of weird stretchy material rings??? (if you aren't at least in your late 30's this probably makes no sense at all!!)

I use to Goodys too and haven't had a problem. Before I attach the ribbon I stretch it out abit.

Good luck

Oh my goodness...you gals are all so awesome!! So many good pointers here!! I talked to my customer and she was using another regular pony o first, then the streamer one and it's coming apart and it was the first time she had used it...not good!

I have the Goody ones right now. They aren't the super thick ones, and the black were all gone, so I have the multi colored pack. I'll have to look at the Dollar Tree and see what they have. I remember looking quickly before, and I guess I didn't realize I should be looking for very thick ones.

Thanks ladies.

3. As far as a korker - use a zip tie.
What do you mean by a "zip tie"?

Well - if you are having problems getting a korker ontoa pony o - go to Wal-mart and in the hardware section they sell small - maybe 4" thin zip ties in pks of 100. loop that around your korker and your pony -o, pull with your hands and then use a pliers to finish it off. It won't go anywhere!!!

Then apply the streamer to her hair beneath the first pony-O (so it will be closest to the head). Remind your customers that the pony-O on the streamer is only to hold the ribbon, not to hold the hair up.
This is just the method we use to apply cheer bows (actually, we use two pony-O's in their hair before we apply the cheer bow), to avoid breakage of the pony-O and slipping of the bow out of the hair during tumbling and stunts.
HTH,

I tell my customers the same thing. I even include instructions. I give them an extra pony o to have.

Oh! That is a good idea, with giving them an extra one with it - kind of like a "reminder" I like the instruction thing too!!!
