Default Do you make your own appliques?? How?

I am debating whether I want to make my own or buy them from etsy...The ones from etsy are SO cute, but I am wondering if it would be more cost effective to make my own? I have a cuttlebug...can I cut felt with this...or how do you make them? Have you found it takes too much time/materials to do?
TIA!
Amanda

I too would like to hear about this. I have a cuttlebug but have not yet been successful in cutting felt with it. The felt seems to be too thick for the cuttlebug dies.

that is what I was afraid of and would it be worth it to buy a new machine, dies, etc... but the ones one etsy, while cute can be expensive just to put on clips...

Well I would say if you want them to be unique than make your own. If you are not going to re sell them on Etsy after adding them to your crafts than buy them premade on Etsy or group buy. I have seen tons of the same things on Etsy by different sellers and I think that will not get anyone good business. I tried doing my own with no luck at it. It takes time and I have non. Hope you understand my ramblings My toddlers is on my lap.

One thing is if you did buy the supplies to make your own, you could sell them in the supplies section on here at a wholesale cost to help recoup some of your money in the supplies. Felt appliques are definitely HOT HOT HOT, so I think if you found a way to do it, you'd be able to at least sell to all the gals on here!!
