Default Looking for Colores Doming Resin Tips

This product seems popular right now. I bought some and am nervous about using it. I was wondering if ladies who are using it would give me a breakdown of how EXACTLY you measure, mix, apply, and cure on top of bottlecaps (not inside of them) I know there are other threads for this, but most of them are a few months old, and it seemed like it would be good to get your thoughts now that you've been using it for awhile. Also, it seems like the tips vary as the brand of resin you're using varies. I am specifically looking for help with COLORES DOMING RESIN. Thanks for any thoughts you creative ladies have.

I will be watching for replies on this; I haven't bought any yet but am hoping to very soon (as soon as the tax refund comes). Would like to hear what you pros have as far as tips/hints etc., since you have been using it now for a few months. THANKS!!!

ok, so you mix it 1 part resin 1 part hardner. stir the mixture slowly folding the product on to itself to minimize bubbles. let it sit for about 5 minute to allow any bubbles to rise to the top.
*I just applied it to the top using the popsicle sticks it came with stick the caps into the oven (not on) just to protect them from air particles.
* Wait about 2 hrs. and go back and run a lighter over any of the ones that have bubbles to de-gas them.
* put them back in the oven again only for protection for about 12hrs total curing time.

Thanks for the instructions: Can you clarify, (how much do you tend to make at a time with the 1:1 ratio (one ounce of each? Less, More?) How many caps does that do? Do you ever bake? Lots of people seem to do that, but you don't need to in NM?

The humidity level here in NM is so low, we only really get dry heat so the weather doesn't really affect curring.

Yes, this is true, we are also very lucky and only have to drive a few miles to pick it up at Rio Grande.

I mix 1/4 oz. of each to make a 1/2 oz. mixture. I can get about 20 caps out of that. My problem is I'm so slow putting it on that it starts to set up on me.

Hi Ladies,

What are you using to mix it up in? I used medicine cups to measure and then pour it in a plastic cup to mix. I am running out of medicine cups!!!

Okay. First batch is resting in the oven to prevent lint. I did mix 1/4 oz of each, mix 2 min., rest 5 min. spooned it into center (do I need to spread or just flow out on its own?)

Another question: Can I just cap the squeeze bottle caps or do I uncap and screw the lids back on?

it setting to fast because your putting double the hardner to resin ratio. The directions state to use a 1.1 ratio HTH
