Well, my plastic headbands are not for the real little ones so I don't know. I think if the foe bands are falling off the band might be too tight. The elastic ones should stay on. But for the other headbands (and some clips) the velcro is great. I have fallen asleep wearing ones with the velcro and have woken up with it still in place! lol

in the knit headbands i hand sew in a 1" wide strip of the shelf liner that is also used for non slip clips. especially helpful with those headbands that are reall silky and have trouble staying on anyone's head! have to sew it by hand tho because the sewing machine eats the headband - at least mine does.

Did you try this I have lots of FOE and want it for my dd but they slip I need help bad. Also what dep. in walmart can you find it?

BTW I tried the Velcro it works great!! BUT my dd was so cranky and my dh said maybe the velcro was bothering her and took it off. After she stopped so maybe it does bother little ones.

I think it probably does...especially if the hair is thin and the velcro actually touches the scalp. For that reason I don't use the grip side of velcro for ages 3 and under.
