Default reversable tutu or layers

I must be seriously dumb because I can't figure out how to tie the darn knots in the over and under thing. Is there a video or a better step by step on this.

I want the white on the bottom and the red on top.

You just have to keep trying until your hands remember how to do it....after so many times you ill get the hang of it! I cannot explain it, I cannot even show someone sitting next to me without screwing it up!.... but i can show someone if i close my eyes, my hands just know how to do it!!!

You can literally just tie a knot and then spin the whole thing around so that the one you just tied is now facing away from you --and then tie the next knot the exact same way in a different colour tulle (and then spin it around again and do it all over again alternating colours)
It will make it so that one colour shows on top...if you turn tutu upside down the other colour shows.
They're cute (and easy--once you get your head around it )...I find them (all tutus) really really time consuming though...

Hope that made sense...you'll be fine once you get going..
Just to clarify--you don't "flip" it in between colours..Keep it flat and literally just spin it around and do the other colour..
You'll see one colour on the right, one colour on the left. When you're done they'll sit on top of each other but you just flip it over to change the colour....
I think that may actually be LESS clear than the post I tried to clarify...
I'll just shut up now
Good Luck!!

Ok so I don't get this part. I am sure it is easy and I don't get it. I have 1 red and one white. I put them together in a chain. I put them behind the elastic. What kind of knot do I tie and what do I tie to what. I am so confused.

Here is were it goes wrong for me. If I have a red strand up and a yellow down. I interlock the colors under the elastic and then bring the red down to the bottom and tie the knot at the bottom? Then I turn it around and do it again with the yellow? My knots look big for some reason.

I made a white and black recersable tutu last week.

I took a folded length of black and a folded length of white, looped one through the other to the white was on top and through the loop of the white was the black ( white formed a u shape black formed an n shape) placed the loop at the back of the elastic broughth the white over the top of the elastic, the black under the elastic and tied making sure I finished with the white on top.

It was easier to do than to explain, hope that helps!

It's easier if you have your elastic vertically and your 2 colors of tulle on either sides.
