Default Shoot me....how do you "seal" the 1/8" elastic to make a headband and attach flower?

I have some skinny elastic cord here in the house and was going to play with it....and then I realized I'm not sure how to bond the ends together...

If you are going to attach a flower on it as well, what I would do it sew it a couple times, then glue your flower right on the connecting portion. I also add a small piece of felt at the bottom so that it will feel comfortable for the kids.

HTH!

1/8 is too small to sew. I ended up hot gluing mine and then covering with ribbon.

do you overlap the ends of the elastic? what kind of ribbon did you use to cover that up (3/8)? Does the headband hold up or does it fall apart??

I melt the ends together with a lighter then put some hot glue on it and attach a small piece of felt. Then I put more hot glue on the other side of the felt and attach the flower..does that make sense? if no I can take some pics to show you

That's pretty much what I do too.

What I am doing is hot gluing it and then sewing it by hand. It works very well

Is it the round or the flat? If it is the round, I put hot glue on them and just hold it until it dries and it like a round circle of glue...but it holds really well...I can take pics if that would help!
