Arrow How to Make Fabric Covered Bottle Cap Barrettes

I wanted something new and different. Tutorial: Here is my latest creation fabric covered bottle cap barrettes.

I wanted to make my own unique barrette using a bottle cap. However, I didnít want it to be a tradition bottle cap barrette where the bottle cap was decoupaged with an image and then hot glued onto the center of a bow. I wanted something new, unique, lasting, safe, and comfortable to put in my daughterís hair.

Hope it inspires you to make your own!

Thanks! The had a lot of fun making the bugs. They would probably look really cute on a barrette as well. They would just need to be hot glued on.

Again, thanks for the kind comments and taking the time to look at my work.

Not at all, I have a bowl that I keep in my kitchen that I ask everyone to place their caps in. I have collected big bag of them, I use them for lots of crafts. Usually 4th of July parties is when I collect the most.

I don't drink beer but I sure love the bottle caps. I have my husband so trained that he puts his in the bowl without even thinking about it now. - The horrors of being married to a crafty lady. LOL
