Default Help with interchangeable FOE headbands

I would love to make my FOE interchangeable because all of my other headbands are interchangeable but when I make my FOE headbands interchangeable I feel like the part where I glue the loop on the underside of the headband get very hard. FOE is so soft I hate to have a hard spot that might leave a mark on a baby's head.

Does any one else have this problem? or a solution to the problem.

Thanks

I'm bad at explaining things, but here's what I do. I use the foe itself to make the loop and I glue it onto the back of the headband and wrap it on the front and glue where the foe overlaps itself. So the back is just smooth foe with no glued edge and the front is open to clip bows on and the glued edge is on front at the bottom so its not unsightly.

lol, foe means fold-over elastic and its a soft, strechy type of elastic that bow makers use to make headbands out of. Here is a link to the ebay seller I use to buy mine from. http://shop.ebay.com/hobovian/m.html...&_trksid=p3686 and here is pic of a foe headband with a flower (not my pic) http://www.etsy.com/listing/44677307...s%5B1%5D=title

You can also attach bows to them. HTH

AH!! Thank you so much for explaining that!! I would have not figured that out.

While we are on the topic of headbands I have another question. How do ya'll attach bows to headbands and flowers? DO ya'll put them on a clip then clip it to the headband?

Thanks soo much for all of the help!

It depends on the item. I sell some of my infant headbands with a loop like was mentioned above and some of the I attach the bows permanently. I glue the bow to the headband and then attach the center and glue it around the headband. I usually just put clips on the flowers.
