Default Working with flowers - Plastic or no plastic

I just got some flowers at HL the other day to start playing with. I took them apart and so far have attached one to a headband and one to flip flops.

Now I am questioning how I did it.

Do you leave the plastic back or remove it? It seems as if I were to leave it it would be perkier?

and e-6000 vs hot glue? when to use which.

TIA

I think it depends on the flowers. I like to leave some plastic pieces in bigger flowers, or flowers that need the "perk". but if the petals are stiffer, I take them out.

I just feel them out to see...if I have a lot, I usually put one together with and one without and see what I like better.

I use hot glue for flowers...

I remove all of the plastic parts and hot glue the layers together. For the large base layers I make as large a circle as I can with the hot glue in the center. Does that make sense????
