Default another bottlecap ???

ok, so i read the previous posts about making bottle caps--but still have a few questions for those that make them! i ordered my caps, got some cute images, and got those pebbles that someone suggested--so now here are my other questions:

1.) where can i get a 1" hole punch--i looked at walmart and joann's--but no luck--does hobby lobby have them or do i have order one from creative memories?

2.) do you print the images on photo paper or just regular paper? i am going to use that sticker maker thing that another person suggested--sorry, i should have wrote down all the names of everyone that made these great suggestions--but i didnt!

3.) i know tonya uses hot glue to attach hers--i have tried hot glue and mine fall off--but i havent ever wiped them down w/ alcohol like she said to do, so that might make a difference. But how do others attach the bottle caps?

ok, that is all i have right now! thanks for helping! i cant wait to get my caps so i can make some!!!

oh--i found my caps on ebay from this seller--right at $11 for 100 caps including shipping--i thought that was a good price--i will let yall know the quality when i get them! they have some auctions--so you might be able to get them even cheaper than that!

Hey Rachel,

You can get the 1" hole punch at Hobby Lobby. I use photo paper. Not sure how the page pebbles will stick on the sticker paper. I have had problems with them staying on some photo paper. Kodak Ultra Premium works best for me. I "rough" my caps up a little with sand paper or a cheap nail file. Wipe down with alcohol. Spray adhesive seems to work best for me. I know someone also mentioned using a glue stick but I haven't tried that. As far as the caps go, colored ones are more expensive. I purchase from Design Originals. For silver or gold, Williams Brewing - 150 for $3.60. I think $11 for 100 caps is quite expensive.

I got mine at Michael's it was a little less then Hobby Lobby but if you print out the Hobby Lobby coupon each time you can get it for 40% off. In case you were not aware every other week they have the cpns on their site. But what is a page pebble???

I use Triple Thick Brilliant Brush on Gloss Glaze from Deco Art. I got it at Michaels. I like it and all you have to do it paint it on and let it dry - 24 hours, which is a bummer, but I have found you can't cheat on this or you will screw them up. Also, I have been using Design Originals bottle cap stickers that are the perfect size, though you are limited on designs. But super simple. I have to "prime" them with clear finger nail polish or the reds and pinks tend to run if I don't. Found that out the hard way.

For attaching them, I have used Tonya's way. However, I did that after I did the stickers and glaze, and then when I went to turn them over for the hot glue to dry, the sticker image got warmed up by the glue and then it stuck to the paper that I laid them on, so that sucked. Now, I will do the attaching of the ribbon with hot glue before I do the top of the bottle caps. Hope that helps!

THanks for that! i've been too nervous to invest in bottle cap supplies, but this makes it seem doable! thanks
