Default Spikes...help!

I am using a wood burning tool for the first time to make spikes and I love how it cuts through like butter...but how to you keep them straight and even? I feel like my hands are shaking and I can't cut anything straight or it isn't even from one side to the other. Do you use a template or anything? What could you use? Help!

Fold the ribbon in half and use scissors to cut your v shape, them use the wood burner to seal the edges. Hope that helps!

I agree with the poster above. Folding the ribbon in half and then cutting makes it lots easier. I have heard of some people buying those metal "T" squares or whatever their called and laying the V part on top of the ribbon and then using the wood burning tool to cut the tails, also. Might try that.
