Default Making Polymer clay shiny

Can you use Modge Podge to coat polymer clay centers to make them shiny??

TIA

You could but I wouldn't use it because it's not really waterproof. I would use varnish. The kind used in decorative painting. You can find it in the same place you would buy the Mod Podge. It comes in Matte, Satin and Gloss or you could use Triple Thick which is SUPER shiny.

Spray works too but I'm the worst spray painter in the world...I always get runs. Plus with the brush on I don't have to do it outside.

I use future floor polish Some finishes can actually react with the polymer clay and make it become sticky over time. Here is a link to some info on finishes that are safe to use.

This site is full of great info but can be a bit hard to read..
http://glassattic.com/polymer/finishes.htm

If you google polymer clay finishes you will find a lot more link and info.

I use Future Floor Polish on my painted items quite often. It used to be a popular thing to do and it didn't make your pieces stick together when you stacked them together to pack them or wrapped them in paper, etc.
