Not really (although we still have a 'snowglobe' dh made when he was in elementary school), but they're great for organizing buttons, appliques, etc.

I always donated mine to the local preschool. I have no idea what they did with them, but they were excited.

Yeah... that's not helpful at all.. sorry.

i was going to post something that i did, but havent taken a pic yet--i put ribbon around the jar and put a little bow on top of the ribbon and then covered the lid w/ fabric and trimmed it w/ ribbon--i was going to list it on my etsy w/ about 10 clippies in it. advertising it as a good baby shower gift or birthday gift. and have the customer tell me if it was for a baby or little girl bc i would put different types of clips in it based on what age the jar was for. i will take some pics later today--i need to list it too!

My mom has been in boy Scouts forever. She is always saving things that might come in handy. I save baby food jars for paint containers. Since I have painted rooms in my house different colors I save some of each color I used in baby food jars. That way if the paint gets scratched off or to cover nail holes I have them handy.

I have a good idea for anyone who dabbles in homemade beauty products. For my oldest DD's baby shower, I used baby food jars and made bath scrubs and salt. I used batting and fabric for the lids and tied ribbon around that. I then made labels with the product name on. I used fabric and clip art that went with her theme. I also made a whole bunch of other bath type products threw it all in a bag and gave as the "favor". If I had more time, I would make these and sell for baby showers or bridal showers. I don't know about anyone else, but I love homemade so much better than store bought.
