Default silicone and foe headbands

ok, I bought silicone, and I smeared it all over the headband. It just doesn't look pretty. Do you all smear it all over, a thin line or dots. They need silicone, I tried it on my older girls and they were slipping off. What can I do.

The foe headbands were slipping off? I've never had that problem with foe-do you think they were too tight?
For the ribbon headbands and clips, I use silicone in a thin line HTH

I took a thin line of silicone about 3 inches long or so and then I used a popscicle stick to spread it in a thin layer. It seems to work pretty good.

my older girls are 9 and 12 and they usually wear their hair in ponytails, especially for dance, so they were slipping.

I've had the same thing with my girls. I had some liquid stitch and zig- zagged it on the top of the headband. It worked a little better, but still slipped some. I was going to try the silicone to see how it did.

You could also use 1/4" velcro (the grip side). I use this in my regular headbands and it holds really well. I am sure it would work the same way.
