Default Quick Tutu question

I'm just about to have a go at making my first tutu! Just one question do I stretch the elastic whilst knotting or knot with out stretching?

Thanks!!

I do not stretch my elastic I just tie my tulle on it. I cut my elastic to fit the waist of my child not to dig in to her skin.

I stretch it a lil after I get most of the tulle on it to fill it in more.

I just tie mine normally...it ends up stretching the elastic on it's own.

I don't stretch it. I cut the elastic to fit, not digging into them, and then there is a little bit of stretch on the tutu so it doesn't fall off. Gives a little room for growing. HTH.
