Default Key Fobs/Lanyards

I got a request to make a lanyard. I bought the stuff to do key fobs, but I havent even tried one yet. I am trying to figure out if I should just do a longer key fob... or if I should just use ribbon (would that even work with the hardware?)...

I don't think the ribbon would work b/c that hardware is "thick metal" and is meant to clamp down on "thick fabric". I could dig out one of my Disney lanyards and get back to you tomorrow. JLMK

That is what I was thinking - I think I may have to use the webbing on it too, to make it thicker.
