Thank you so much for posting. Been wanting to make one since I saw it in a Nordstrom catalog! Looks just like the ones you buy for a gabillion dollars!

Thanks for the tut! I just did one with a nylon zip and I really think it's adorable for little ones, I'm finding it doesn't seem to get caught in their hair since it has smaller nylon teeth!

I've been interested in making some flowers with zippers when I found the pictures I attached few months ago. Your tutorial has inspired me to give it a try and to not be intimidated. By the way, all zippers at Hancock Fabrics are 50% off right now, but unfortunately the store here only had one black zipper with silver teeth. It's 18 inches long. I snagged it. Woohoo!
oh my gosh, I literally gasped out loud at those heabbands!! those are freakin awesome! like seriously, awesome! I LOVE them, they look so punk and hip and modern and they are fantastic!! Zippers are HUUUUGE right now, and those headbands are just fantastic!!

You should try continuing the make the rose... then at the end you can tack down the center and tack it to the back to keep it down and not a cone shape....
Also once you are done you hot glue the back to a piece of felt and that will also help keep the center down.
I wonder if you are stitching to tight? Maybe try to do a loser stitch?

Darn you are a few days late... HL had zippers for 40% off last week. Until making these I had NO idea how expensive zippers were.

Thanks for the tut, this is something I'd like to try after I finish up some other projects.

For inspiration: I found this etsy store with a bunch of different uses for zipper accessories. I like her daisies and the shoes are super cute!
