For my knots, I use 7/8 inch ribbon. It works best with stiffer type ribbons. I put a thin amount of hot glue on about 5-6 inches of ribbon that I have cut. Then I quickly fold it in half and push down hard to get all seams together and glued well. Turn your 5 inch length into an "awareness ribbon," like you see with pink for cancer, red for aids, etc. (I hope that makes sense...) Then take the end that is furthest back and pull it up through the loop. I think that it makes a really nice knot. Then trim the ends to the correct size and attach however you want.

Taking pics right now...

My suggestion: Cut the tail after creasing and wrap the center using elastic thread, really close to the center, use 7/8" ribbon for bow center because it'll cover the cut ribbon end.

Here is the link for the bow center, do not pull the knot tight and you'll get it.

Cute bows!

Basic bows were my best sellers. Especially double layer. I think because it's plain enough for everyday use and pretty enough to buy a lot. Here is 2.25" basic bow (1.5" ribbon)

Here is how I do the center knots. I don't know if this is right or wrong, but I like the way they turn out....

That looks pretty, it seems like mine are always to crinkled in the middle. If that makes sense.
