Thanks for all the helpful advice ladies, I have made a few bows with the elastic thread and I really like using it but my creases aren't exactly how I would like them to be.Maybe using the gator bite will fix the problem.I use a sally clip sometimes to help creasing.

I hand sew my bows and spikes, I've tried wrapping but can't get the creases they way I like them!

I have so many people asking me for that style bow that you have in your picture (LSU Colors) I use BBM Templates and a Gator Bite. When using embroidery thread, how many strands do you usually work with? It's been a while, but aren't there 6 or 8 strands in the string?
