Cool flip-flops?

ok i've used the e6000 glue to attach bows to flip flops & am wondering if it would work to hold the ribbons in place around the straps & the bottoms like these. & do you just wrap & glue the ribbon on the straps? 2 seperate pieces or just one long one? TIA! (not my pics just found on google, sorry if they're yours)

I use 2 pieces...I glue at one end and alligator clip it. wrap the ribbon to the end and use the glue again and a clip. So I only glue at the ends. When I glue the bow I use clothes pins to keep them in place

So does the ribbon not move around or mess up when being worn if you only glue the ends?

They stay just fine. I overlap and wrap tight. My DD is very rough on shoes and they haven't come apart yet.

What about around the base of the flip flop? I have tried hot glue and e6000 but neither seems to work. I think the e6000 isn't working because I can't clamp something to hold in place.
