Default How do you fully line a clip?

I want to start fully lining my non-embellished clips, and was wondering what the best way to do it is? I'm practicing with glue ATM, but I'll do them with tape, which I assume is the only way to do them neatly. I tried one long piece of ribbon, but it's hard to line it all up... or maybe I just need more practice

I was looking at the Bugalug clips, and I like how they have the rounded edge on the pincher... it looks like two pieces of ribbon, but I'm not sure how to apply it to get that look. Any suggestions?

I use tape - works great. To fully line I cut 6 1/2 inches of ribbon, heat seal ends & then line each piece with tape then apply to clip.
