Unhappy Going Crazy - baby clippies?

I could have sworn I saw a post with instructions on how to turn a single prong alligator clip into a baby clippie...but now I can't find it. I've tried using the search button, but still no luck. Anyone know what I'm talking about?

There is something on here about that, because after I bought some I saw it. You just bend the alligator clip back and forth to break some of it off. Then they filed the metal so the tip wasn't pointy. HTH!?!

Thanks - I knew it had to do with folding it back & forth, but couldn't remember how far back to cut it and what to dull the ends with. I'm going to try this tonight

Oooh, I needed to see this - thanks for posting that link. A good friend of mine is pregnant with a little girl who has an enlarged heart. She'll have to have heart surgery right away and my friend wanted her to have little bows to wear in the hospital. I was wondering how to make something tiny for her.

Hairparts sells the smaller ones...GE 22S I think?? (don't quote me on it)
Anyways--regular single prong are 1 13/16" and small are 1 3/8" I believe.
HTH
No way would I go to the work of cutting and filing...(and what if one of the edges remained sharp....eek!)

I was thinking I'd completely cover the clip with ribbon so there would be no exposed metal anyway. Then putting in no-slip grip so it'd stay in her hair.

Its easier to use the double prong ones and some nippers.

I tried this and maybe I'm using the wrong kind of file, but my hair clip ends were so sharp! I don't know if this is gonna work for me..=(
