Default Spikey Bow Question...

I love making spikey bows (using Wendy's tut) and I've been making them awhile, but man do I go through needles! I was wondering if anyone else has this problem? I use more than the ribbon strands Wendy suggests, between a few, but no more than that. I also use a long thick needle, but eventually, it ends up getting a crook in it until it finally bends. Any suggestions ladies?

I use my Gator Bite and tie mine with crochet thread. It makes it really easy to keep them straight and in place. I haven't sewn them, so I can't be of any help.

I have to sew these or else they don't get the crimp they need. I love making them, I just hate bending the needles.

I guess I'll just have to get some needles then, lol. It's not like I haven't bought a ton already. I was just hoping someone had a MIRACLE solution .

Thanks! It is nice to be back. We had a hard few months at the Mejia Household. Now things are back on track. We took my son out of school...which was a big part of the problem...we started to homeschool him and things are so much better for him now. My DS is happy and not be being tormented or stressed out...so much for such a little boy to carry on his shoulders.

I have the same problem. I just use my pliers to straighten my needle back out the best I can.
