I turn the right sides together and place a single prong alligator clip to hole them together. I don't match the ends up perfectly, one just a little lower than the other...the one end that is lower, using my burner I kinda brush/melt it into the other side(making sure I don't melt all the way through) and then brush/melt the longer side on top of it? Does that make since, it's kinda hard to explain????? I wait a few seconds for it to cool and then I stretch it out, hold it up towarrds light to make sure it's completely heat sealed together. If not I just do it over. Maybe I can post a pic, if this doesn't make since.

Do you fold one side to the other, do you have two ends together, then smash it or do you just cut with your wood burner tool and it just melts together? Man that elastic burning sure stinks!

FOE is Fold Over Elastic It comes in lots of colors and looks kind of like a bra strap.

I glue, but that's because I don't do interchangeable, and I use a felt circle to cover up the back.

i sew . . . and at the same time sew on the felt pad (or fuzzy flower) on front/top - so that it stops the elastic from stretching where the embellishment is.

the customers usually look at the back & feel more confident when they see the stitching and it's softer feeling.

I like to sew hand sew a center cross in the middle and then glue the surrounding area for added security. As long as you allow your high temp glue gun to get very hot it should hold well. I have made them without sewing when I have been in a hurry to have something made to match dd's outfits. They have withheld very well and she is rough on her headbeands.
