Question Key fob question

Can't find any other method so asking here.

I have the directions for making key fobs but in the ones I have it says to use heat and bond.

My question is do any of you ladies have any other method of attaching the ribbon to the webbing?

Would sewing it work? Or maybe hot glue or specialty tape??

TIA!!

Hahaha, looks like I am not the only one who needed to know this. Glad, now I don't feel like a dummy. hehe

I think heat and bond is just this tape stuff that you heat up with an iron onto the ribbon and then peel off the paper and attach to the webbing. I have it at my local wal-mart but I would much rather sew it.

Yay! Glad to know I can sew it!!

The heat n bond keeps the ribbon from shifting while you are sewing.

Ahhh, makes sense. Thank you! lol I wonder if I used a small piece of specialty tape, if it would serve the same purpose. Hmmm.

P.S. The heat and bond also keeps the ribbon from puckering after you sew it. You can get it at Joann's or Michaels it comes on a roll in 3/8 5/8 7/8 sizes. Also, use a bandana or some other thin material to lay over the ribbon because sometimes printed ribbon will stick/melt

I use 1 strip of specialty (or sealah) tape to hold it in place while I sew! Takes away the ironing step!
