When I first started I used heat n bond with ribbon to keep it from shifting but now since I sew a lot better I don't need to. I do still use it for 90% of my key fobs since they are made with fabric and not ribbon. I would never ever use hot glue. The sewing is easy

LOL

I have the flu and am not up to going out but I am super anxious to get started on them. I guess I will have to wait until I go to the store next. *sigh*

I use invisible thread to sew mine, that way I don't have to try to match the thread with the ribbon I'm using. I don't adhere the ribbon to the webbing. I just line it up where I want it and sew. Although, for fabric i would adhere it to the webbing first and then sew. I've only made one with fabric and it puckered. But, I've made a lots of the ribbon ones, so they are pretty easy for me now. I also sew a fabric label on the inside that has my logo and business name printed on it. Be sure you charge enough for them. I see people selling them between $5-$7. I sell mine for $10 and I sell tons of them. So, don't underestimate what you do. Charge what you feel your time and work is worth. I digress!

I have used heat n bond, then sew them. The last bunch I made I just pinned the ribbon to the webbing then sewed (that cut out the ironing step). But the next bunch I make I was going to use the specialty tape and see how it goes.

That is a great idea. Where do you get your logo tags?

I use a regular old needle. LOL! The one I have been using is a size 90/14, which is what I think came with my sewing machine. But, I think you can use any size. The needle size really matters when you monogram your ribbon. I use either a 60/8 or a 65/9 size needle on my embroidery machine when I monogram ribbon.

I had Erin Bradley on Etsy design it for me. She made me matching business cards, bow cards, clippie cards, all my Etsy banners and avatars, a 125x125 ad and a fabric label. She is amazing and her prices are great, too. Here is her shop: www.ErinBradleyDesigns.etsy.com

I use JennifersJewels to print my labels. Here is her shop: www.JennifersJewels.etsy.com. Her labels are fantastic. They don't ravel. They are durable and washable. She offers both iron-on and sew-in labels. She also designs labels. I bought the iron-on ones, that way I have a choice of ironing them on or sewing them on. I printed some on my printer at home and they were horrible. They looked pretty until you cut them out and tried to use them. LOL!

I'm sorry to hijack the thread. I talk way too much.
